Juan Mata urges Messi to join United instead of City

Manchester United playmaker has urged Lionel Messi to join United instead of Man City.

Speaking about this, he said: “Well I hope not – I hope not for the betterment of my club”.

“I don’t know what will happen, but I hope he doesn’t go there. If he comes to Manchester I hope it’s to my club and not the other”.

“There were rumors, for example, that Cristiano Ronaldo might come back to Manchester in the future”.

“One of the things that I realized in professional football is that you should focus on what you can control and forget about what you cannot.”

The uncertain future of Lionel Messi at Barcelona is becoming everyone’s favorite topic to talk about.

The Argentine superstar is out of contract next summer and wants to leave Barcelona as quickly as possible. Even though he was not allowed to leave in the summer, the superstar is a free agent next summer.

Manchester City are confident of their position in the race for Messi’s signature. The contract renewal of Pep Guardiola has also put a point in City’s column. Messi would love to reunite with Guardiola.

Though City can try to sign him as a free agent in the summer, the English club are expected to explore the possibilities of signing him in January.
