Man City pre-season friendlies: Citizens confirm five games, set to participate in Soccer Champions Tour

Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League continued in 2023-24 as they clinched their fourth straight league title.

The Citizens’ title defence looked in serious danger after they lost to Aston Villa in December to drop down to fourth.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side went on an excellent run during the second-half of the campaign to pip Arsenal to the title by two points.

Man City also experienced disappointment last season as they suffered Champions League elimination at the quarter-final stage and lost the FA Cup final to Manchester United.

But all that happened in the past and Guardiola’s focus is now on the upcoming pre-season friendlies as he aims to win all the major trophies in 2024-25.

Like many other Premier League clubs, City will also be doing their pre-season touring in the United States of America

They will take on Scottish giants Celtic in their first friendly at the Kenan Stadium in North Carolina on July 24.

The Citizens will also participate in the Soccer Champions Tour as they lock horns with AC Milan at the Yankee Stadium on July 27 before facing Barcelona in Orlando three days later.

The 2023 Champions League winners are scheduled to meet Chelsea on August 3 at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus before returning to England.

Their final game will see them face arch-rivals Manchester United in the Community Shield on August 10 at the Wembley Stadium.
